Technical meeting at the ENCE Biomass Plant in Merida by technicians from INTROMAC, ENCE and Gestiona Global in order to establish a protocol in the sampling of biomass ashes.

<p style="text-align: justify;"> On February 12th, a technical meeting of the iCirBus project took place at the ENCE Biomass Plant in Merida. The meeting was attended by technicians from INTROMAC, ENCE and Gestiona Global in order to establish a protocol in the sampling of biomass ashes. Generalization on the physicochemical characteristics of the ashes is complicated and can be varied depending on multiple factors such as raw material, temperatures and combustion conditions, particle separation efficiency, use of pretreatments, etc.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> Taking into account the heterogeneous nature of the ashes, it has been approved by establishing a protocol that allows to analyze and obtain relevant conclusions on how the properties of the ashes vary according to the factors previously mentioned. In addition, measures were agreed to optimize processes and ensure efficiency in the activities to be carried out. To conclude, Gestiona Global took advantage of the visit to continue collecting data on the management of the ashes in the face of the environmental and socio-economic impact assessment of the project.</p>
