Concurrently to optimization of prototype process design, according to Action B5 in the proposal, representatives of the Technical Committee of the project have visited the WWTP in Lobón, led by the Plant Manager, in order to analyze the best Plant location for the implementation of the prototype.

A whole round thought all phases of water depuration process was carried out, analyzing existing requirements and limitations with view to prototype installation (size, volume, energy and water supply, upload and download, etc.).

After all these considerations, the best location seems to be the centrifugal pump room, placing the prototype in the sludge treatment line between the thickener and this machine. Production capacity of the prototype will be less than the flow of sludge so the prototype will be set up as a bypass.

The room seems to have enough space to place the prototype, so no other construction would be necessary. It would be mandatory to make the hydraulic and electric connections to supply the prototype, but it was checked to be relatively close, not being considered as a technical issue.
