A trial has been carried out to evaluate the odour reduction associated with the heavy metal reduction process in the LIFE iCirBus prototype in accordance with the UNE-EN 13725:2004 standard: Determination of odour concentration by dynamic olfactometry.

<p style="text-align: justify;">The trial was carried out on 30th July 2020, and consisted of two cycles of three hours each, where sludge samples were taken at the beginning and after completion of each cycle.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> The results show that the heavy metals adsorption process established in the LIFE iCirBus prototype produces a reduction in the concentration of odours in the sludge of 24.4%, which represents a further environmental improvement.</p> <p style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: right;"><img alt="" src="https://www.ctaex.com/icirbus/ficheros/imagenes/2020_11/20-07-ensayo-reduccion-olores-2.jpg" style="width: 200px; height: 249px;" /></p>
