To improve heavy metal adsorption data from the first validation round in the iCirBus prototype, in the second round a recirculation pump was incorporated into the system to increase sludge agitation in the tank.

<p style="text-align: justify;">The results improved, but showed a lack of homogeneity.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> In the third validation round (sep 19), the recirculation section was increased in order to solve the clogging produced in some essays.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> Each validation round consisted of three essays, each one with three cycles of 3 hours duration.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> The treated sludge from each round and the conditioned ashes used were stored in the EDAR; the sludge was then brought to CTAEX for the fertilizer manufacturing, and the used ashes were transported to INTROMAC for their use as recyclable construction material.</p>
