Organized by the Department of Graphic Expression of the Escuela de Ingenierías Industriales of the Universidad de Extremadura (UEX).

<p style="text-align: justify;"> The seminars, which took place between 7 and 11 November at the different offices of the UEX in Badajoz, C&aacute;ceres and M&eacute;rida, deal with technical and practical aspects of the rehabilitation of historical spaces, their management, the pathologies of these buildings and their accessibility, among others.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> &nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> The symposium is part of a research stay promoted by the Department of Graphic Expression of the UEX in which 25 professionals with a high technical profile from the Chinese province of Zhejiang participate. Among them are company managers, senior engineers and architects and public administration positions related to urban planning, rural development and research.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> &nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> The symposium was held on Monday and Tuesday at the Escuela de Ingenier&iacute;as Industriales of Badajoz, Wednesday at the Escuela Universitaria&nbsp;of M&eacute;rida and Thursday and Friday at the Escuela Polit&eacute;cnica of C&aacute;ceres, so the participants had the opportunity to know the Historical and artistic heritage of these cities.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> &nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> In the Monday session the paper &quot;Materials and sustainability of the building&quot;, was carried out by the Instituto de Rocas Ornamentales y Materiales de Construcci&oacute;n, with the exhibition of projects related to the subject mentioned, among which the LIFE iCirBus-4Industries project stands out.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> &nbsp;</p>
